Ox-Alien Transforms Building into a Street Art Landmark in Rotterdam

September 20, 2024

The building at Oostplein 410-428 in Rotterdam, once plagued by unwanted graffiti, has undergone a remarkable transformation.

In collaboration with renowned graffiti artist Ox-Alien, the facade of the building has been adorned with an impressive street art piece. What began as a solution to graffiti nuisance has evolved into a striking artistic addition to the city of Rotterdam.

Ox-Alien’s artwork is so extraordinary that the building has now been included in the famous Rotterdam Graffiti Walk. This route takes visitors past dozens of street art pieces located throughout the city, including murals, commercial buildings, flower boxes, trams, lampposts, and utility boxes. The Ox-Alien artwork on our building now serves as a key feature of this inspiring art trail.

In collaboration with RDAM, special t-shirts featuring the Ox-Alien artwork have also been released.

With this project, we demonstrate how street art can positively impact the appearance of a building and the city itself. We are proud that our building is now part of Rotterdam’s creative landscape.
