Unifore and Malvesta bought Beijerlandselaan 2 in Rotterdam South

A collaboration between Mulvesta and Unifore has acquired the retail property at Beijerlandselaan 2 in Rotterdam South from Havensteder, a housing association in the core of the Rotterdam city region. The retail area of approximately 5,300 square meters GFA, divided over the ground and first floor, is fully let on a long-term basis to MediaMarkt.

The Beijerlandselaan is an extensive shopping area, at the entrance anchored by the large MediaMarkt store, including an underground parking garage. The municipality of Rotterdam has designed a plan to upgrade the Beijerlandselaan and the Groene Hilledijk area, which is situated next to the large-scale development of Feyenoord City. As a result of these developments both areas will complement each other, wherein the Media Markt location is perfectly positioned.

Next door Feyenoord City is expected to be one of the biggest area developments in the city of Rotterdam with in total 592,000 square meters. This development plan includes 3,700 residential dwellings as well as shops, hospitality, restaurants, bars and much public space, such as parks and sports fields. The development of Feyenoord City brings a vibrant impulse to the district Rotterdam South and will be, combined with improved connections and accessibility to the Beijerlandselaan, beneficial for the current shopping area.
